I've got a 1993 polo fox breadvan. Where can I get some alternator brushes ?

I ring gsf. They say no. Ring unipart. Another no. And I'm not getting any from a scrappy as problerly will be as damaged as mine!

try asking gsf for a voltage regulator ...they're readily avail and I've got them at gsf in the past

Make some with chemcial metal.

This is a new one on me, and I thought that I had been 'round the block' a few times!

I didn't even know that chemical metal was conductive. I'm just wondering how well it wears and what effect (wear wise) it has on the slip rings?

When you look at brush manufacturer's catalogues, there is a bewildering amount of types of carbon brushes in each size listed, each having a different application, so please can we have some more information on these home made ones?

As above, give your local GSF a call, instead of looking ONM there website as its not always listed. Usually when you explain it to them they will find the part
