Sooo...

Been on CP for about a month, i've just been lurking in the background :ninja:

I managed to get hold of a reasonably tidy 1,0l SPI Saloon + 5 speed box with 70k on the clock a few weeks back but I have only just put her on the road

I have a few plans for her:

Bought some Mk1 Golf banded steels (13x7)

Wrapped then in 165/55/r13 Nankangs

Dont worry, I only put them on to see what they looked like

I have also purchased a Spax lowering kit

Had to change the ugly standard steering wheel

To a GT wheel

Also got some pressed plates done, i have some Wolfsburg surround but havnt got a shot of them

But all this will have to wait...

She decided to start crying oil from the head gasket, stripped it down tonight hoping to just replace the gasket as it hadnt over heated, but the head needs skimmed so i'll have to wait

Much much more to come

Thanks man

She's gonna be looking good man when it's all back together. I've still got a load of engine spares if you got stuck with anything :)

UPDATE

I have fitted my springs & shocks. Had a little struggle on the rear as someone had fitted the wrong shocks that were too thin on the bottom pin, so thought would be a good idea to keep tightening the bolt until it bent the rear axle where it sits between causing my shocks to be too wide. I also put my Golf steels on but without the centre caps for now...

But now my exhaust is scraping so I'm going to sort that out tomorrow after work as even the slightest bump makes it scrape
