Hey guys I'm new here, Just thought I'd post as I bought my first Polo a few days ago.

It's a 1.4 8v 5 door, Lowered by the previous owner so I dunno how much by, bit tatty but just needs some lovin'. Progress may be slow until I find decent work though :/

Anyway here she is.

I'm currently returning the black alloy to silver because that how it came...

Pretty good start base... Liking the black wheel you should do them all like that until you get other rims (if you are of course)

Cheers mate, well Impressed with it tbh, i've started sanding now, not too keen on black, first thing I do when i start working again is new alloys, unsure what yet though, Its gotta be lifted up soon too, insurance reasons can't be lower than 50mm, and I don't fancy the risk, but when I can afford to I'm gonna go on a better insurance company :)

Ahh fair enough, My priority is getting it on the road. Which unfortunately means lifting up the coilies, only about 15mm anyways. My first task for when I start working again is to find a set of wheels I like. :)

been a While, but i've been working loads, Just found out that my rear engine mount has gone and was unsure if one from a 1.0 8v would fit on:/ Anyone knows would be great!

So It's been a very long time since I've been on, and as stated the car needed some TLC as there was rust on the arches and in other spots, Well I sorted that yesterday, Rather than saving for a respray i decided to do it myself and got decent results.

Here it is, It's not a bad finish to say after a few mistakes and runs in the lacquer, and it had to be flattened back sprayed and re lacquered in the dark.

I need to start remembering to post! Took the car for an MOT yesterday, didn't think there was much wrong with it...

How wrong I was! I have two holes pretty much the same on either side of the car pretty in the passenger and drivers footwell, My chassis leg is corroded brake lines corroded headlights too low and both the rear wheel bearings!

Thats the passenger side hole and the drivers one is pretty much the same! Can see this getting expensive!

Yeah the colour is pretty much the reason I bought the car, I love it!

I'm not fancying Black anymore, I chose the easy option and just painted one of them silver rather than 3 black :p (lazy option!)

Purple is sounding tempting though! Maybe if the welding work won't cost too much, I may buy some new wheels in the summer!

So I gave my car a wash when the weather started to pick up, it came out pretty awesome to say I just used the jetwash behind a petrol station, but things are looking up for the car! Got a wheel bearing ready to replace when I get the time, and I've decided to paint up a few bits and sort out the imperfections.

Only thing is now, after that photo I now can see my bonnet isn't sat right!

Also the welding was done, managed to get all the welding work and everything else it needed for the MOT done for like £130 all in, welding only cost £120! well happy with that!
