Living in Milton Keynes, that's a common problem for me. I've taken to staying back and not attempting to pull along side anyone (unless i'm confident they're keeping to the left). This slows traffic down and causes congestion, as it creates a single file bottleneck on the roundabout, but at least i'm not going to exchange paint.

So its dangerous now to do the speed limit in the outside lane if the motorway? Hahaha

sorry malaga, i read it as you wouldn't let people in from overtaking and generally merging back with traffic. People who push in a que of traffic can go to hell imo.

And i totally agree with you about the roundabout thing! I buckled the rim of one of my back wheels swerving to avoid being hit by one of those people. Luckily it was a steel, and i bent it back using a tyre machine

Seriously whats going on, past month I've had 2 taxis suddenly stop dead infront of me with not a flash of a brake light in sight and some idiot in an A3 doing it twice on the bypass, first time i thought maybe i had just not noticed, lapse of consentration kinda thing then it happened again, brakes on but no brake lights, i just slowed to 50 and let him fuck off and someone else can go into the back of him!

Yes because people like to go faster on the motorway and by staying at 70 on the outside lane forces people to undertake and possible cause an accident, putting you, and the people around you in danger.

It's easier to move to the left and let the arsehole's pass, minimising the risk to you, your car, and others (Y)

A) By doing 5 under all you are doing is making yourself an obstruction, 45 is fine, that easy enough to get past but 55 is much harder to get past safely as you need so much more road to do it.

Whether it's right or wrong is none of your business tbh, thousands of people are gonna do 80-90mph on the motorway everyday, regardless of your schoolboy politics, and if you sit in the right hand lane at 70mph with nobody obstructing you from pulling over then you are an obstruction to severe physical democracy from behind, and there will be some risky manoeuvres taking place as a result - and serious scope for an accident as a result.

Great result being 'morally right' standing next to someone who's dying because you were part of an accident.
