Woke up this morning to find my dads car (which he relies on to win the bread everyday) had the back window smashed in, and a brick laying on the parcel shelf, the wiper arms bent, and all the side scratched. noting had been taken, not the stereo, not the full case of beer which was in the boot... nothing. they just smashed it for the fun of it; most likely to impress some underage bint. I think the fact that they didnt take anything makes it more annoying cause they weren't after anything!

how do these kids get off? ruining other people's possessions which aren't exactly cheap and causing my dad to have to fork out money which he could have done without spending. makes me sick; disrespectful, f**king morons who need to get a job and stop burdening society.

these are the type that tarnish people's opinion of decent kids like myself who work hard, have respect and pay for nice things i want and don't depend on anybody for anything. i would never dream of damaging somebody's stuff cause i appreciate money doesn't come easily and it feels good to own something decent. it saddens me that things like this happen and that the culprit feels they have to do these things to gain acceptance or whatever their motives were. there is no wonder old people worry when walking past young people, i dont like these elderly people to be worried when i walk past, I'm always polite and help them whenever i can as i firmly believe we as the youth of today should respect our elders. i hope these yobs find peace one day and feel remorse for the things they do.

Glad when I worked in stores my area manager had a similar attitude to customer service as I did. "Be nice until there's a reason not to, then just chuck em out!"

I had my stereo nicked by a group of 11 year old kids. The police took them home. Parents let them back out to 'play' within about 5 mins later.

the whole point of the 6D maglight was for security use, hence why its normally held above the shoulder and close to the light end.

I work as a Care Worker and 99% of my clients will be older generations, and i agree with them all, there is no appreciation for anything by the younger generations (which does also include me) because they have been brought up in an enviroment where they can call their teachers and parents etc something like a "f**k monkey" and get away with just an angry letter or something in return....

I swear even though i am still classed as a child to older people, even though i am 20 i think its a case of fear of the media that causes people to not be too sure how to disciplin kids, the slightest thing can be classed as abuse these days and these rules are often put in place by someone who would never or has ever had kids, obviously I'm not saying parents should falcon punch their children or anything like that but like Cymro said a clip around the ear is all that is needed -__-.

Personally I think they should bring back the Cane in schools, see how many little shits want to throw their chair across the room then! :-D .

It should be remembered that we weren't all complete angels in the '60s/'70s/'80s either, crime did happen, vandalism etc, it's been going on for centuries.

But it wasn't as bad, discipline being better (teachers had the cane and owned pupils outright), the sustained sense of community amongst the elders echoed from the success of WW2 so they could be bothered to be strict and sustain principals (seems this has finally fizzled out)..

Plus there was nothing to nick/vandalise. Car radios were pointless, park equipment was tougher than scaffolding, phone boxes were cast iron, there was nothing worth stealing and little to do. Everyone was outside because there were no video games/internet/mobiles, so you were usually seen if doing anything. Fashion/image was weak too, the masses didn't feel pressured to be 'an individual' blah.. and you didn't even know about drugs unless you were an adult.

A lot has changed, so it's gonna have an effect, but even though the streets were relatively bare 40 years ago, cars still got vandalised. It's not fair to say the youth of today are just crap, and the making of the world's ills.
