Hi! I hope someone can help? I have a problem with my passenger electric window. I always goes down ok, but as soon as the passenger or myself presses the switch for it to go up, nothing happens. That's with pressing the switches on each side as well. It had a new genuine VW motor mechanism earlier this year before I owned it as well. When I take the key out of the ignition and leave it for several seconds when I put the key in the ignition again, the window automatically goes up. Any ideas?

I wouldn't have thought it would be the wiring if it goes down and goes up when I put the key back in the ignition and I wouldn't have thought it was the switches if both sides don't work, unless both switches need replacing?!

id say either switches or wiring, i have a set of switches for sale that were taken from a breaking vehicle.... if you wish to buy them inbox me. failing that the wiring may be dodgy so id replace the looms in the doors I've done this recently and its easy i also have spare window looms.

Are the looms plug-in or do you have to cut and solder them in? Are the looms new or used?

Looms will be plug in, they'll go from the multipin connector on the door, to all required bits and bobs.
