We get moaned at for spamming buildthreads, and mine unfairly gets locked because of this.

A thread is started in here, to divert said spamming from build threads to one thread.

Said thread, actively being used by a mod, and also another mod saying they are all for it if it keeps it from the build threads.

Then the fucking thing gets deleted!!!!

Ban all of us regulars, we will either just come back or be replaced by the new generation of polo'ers within a month or so.

I stopped, i gained some self control and resisted posting things (typed it then just didnt bother posting) then i get kicked in the teeth.

Said kick in the teeth got me annoyed and resulted in spamming, which pissed someone off even more

Now I'm thinking, why bother? May aswell go mad, same thing happens no matter what i do.

This is something that's been played out time and time again tbh. People get to know each other on here, the banter starts, it gets to a point that it gets on the mods tits, warnings are given, the users in question take the hump, we get to see a bit of user vr's mod action, people get banned... It's the circle of forum life

If you don't like a mod or the way they behave or conduct themselves, unfortunately its tough shit, as a forum user there is nothing we can do about it. The only option you have if you don't like the forum or the way its run is to start your own forum, run it how you see fit and leave the people you don't get on with behind. That was done before with a fair amount of success until the mods on that site started getting fed up with dealing with all the banter and they started banning people too. The circle of forum life

No one spammed it, it was all more or less on actual topics relating to build threads,

It was in the "off-topic" section, where it has already been pointed out, is for chatting shit,

Don't go in the thread if you've got better things to do,

The only time the thread went slightly off was me talking about buying a house and getting a mortgage taking precedence over building cars.

At what point have I tried to make out I'm a saint? I'm making suggestions as to what you can do to prevent this and suggestions as to why it may of been deleted. I obviously don't chat as much shit or spam as much as you as I've not been given any warnings for it

Makes me laugh how you all bitch about the forum or how its run but keep logging back in every day. I don't particularly like cabbage, so I don't eat it, and I certainly don't eat it every day. You won't change the way the forum is run, many have tried over tue years and all have failed. So accept it for what it is or move on, they are the choices you have, no point bitching about it is there

That thread would have helped a lot, you don't have to "moderate the shit" (as nick would say) out of every thread, it was somewhere to "chat" about build threads, and the occasional off-topic subject, which it did and worked well as instantly it had 3 pages and none of the build threads had any bullshit in them.

Like you said, we don't have to be here if we don't like it, i like it here, a lot and that's what pisses me off. The people in question contribute a lot to this forum, through yearly membership fees, going to the shows under the forums name (it is literally just us, with the few exceptions), adding good usable technical information into the FAQ's, plastering the cars we drive in the "clubpolo.co.uk" which i actually paid extra for as I haven't received any sort of welcome pack each year, not once, but i never complain, I'm happy to pay extra for them and to not get anything through the post as its worth a fiver all day long to look at how all the cars are doing, have a crack in the off-topic sections, this is as much our forum as any moderator.

Of course we can change the way the thread is ran, its changed loads since I've been here, mostly the off-topic section.

Also, like you say, there is a thread already that was similar, but was purely for spamming, it got used a lot and is still here, WHY? because a moderator made it.
