LOL - I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing!

To me A3's seem to be the same car looks wise since the late 90's just with the new family "face".

Seen this on sniff petrol

I do regularly drive my wifes 2003 1.8t beetle (which is yellow and has a big flower) so I'm not anti beetle, just this fake ad tickled me...

One of the girls in the office once said to me "yeah, I like my VW's too, I've got a beetle" I naturally asked her what year.

Apparently, when she said 2000, from the look on my face, people were scared I was going to throw up on her.

My Mrs has a 57 plate beetle. And its the most horrible car to drive! I refuse to tbh. It's also yellow and has big flowers..... Which doesn't help....

thats slightly surprising, the previous beetle was basically a mk4 gti in a heavier body. The main issue i would have to dislike them is the terrible 2.0ltr engine most are fitted with - probably (in my opinion) the worst engine application since man discovered the three main uses of fire (cooking food, keeping warm and powering engines).

For that reason i looked quite hard for a 1.8t.

As the new car is based on the usual fare from VW i expect it to be quite comfortable if bland to drive.

Its as if they have taken the beetle and mated it with a type 3 fastback........

Type 3:

The engine needs to be in the back.......
