Comments: bought on the 15/8/12 as a project, 2 previous owners, it is needing two front wings as they have a bit of rust on them. going it lower it 80/60 on shocks and springs and put some new wheels on it.

when i get new wings it will be a solid car, not sure where to get wings from though and i don't want cheap rubbish either

had some spare door handle plate things... so decided to do this :-D thoughts?

Not a fan of the door handles to be honest. Paint them, I haven't seen that done before. As for the rest of the car, well you now how I feel

Wing has rotted in a weird way.. haha car looks clean though and could have a lot of potential!

they are spare cheap ones and i do have the black original ones

found out that the rear axle is a bit rusty, pulled chunks of rusty metal off it and poked it with a screw driver and it created a hole anyone know where to source one?

de-wipered the rear yesterday and gave the engine bay a bit of a clean :-)

Get yourself along to SCB Newbridge, it's less than an hour from Glasgow and they will probably have at least one care in there.

My dad went to a field car race and there was a mk3 polo in the race, which actually won haha! It was a German important with a solid rear axle and decent suspension so i'll be getting those parts off of it soon :-)

Got a mk3 golf spi inlet elbow from a local scrappy but needing the longer m6 bolts to fit it. Also bought a 6n engine cover off ebay with all the brackets which will clean up the bay a bit. Need to get a K&N filter aswell :-)

Yeah I haven't been on in ages I got one genuine wing off of ebay but still need to source another one, then I can get them sprayed :-)

Got the polo in my garage at the moment and i now have an axle, 2 wings and rear shocks and springs :-)

Gave it a good clean yesterday :-) used engine oil on the bumpers again!

Bay coming along nicely. Want to get a polished 6n rocker cover and i still need to get a filter for it..

rear axle painted, got a coat of waxoyl on it now as well.

Ready for the axle to be changed. Got a set of wheels of an e30 and stretched a tyre on one.. doesnt look too bad.

Dads splitty after a respray...

Finally bought some ta technix lowering shocks and springs! And new TCA's from ebay.. Got one side at the front done. Wire brushed and painted the strut with wax oyl hammerite spray, looks okay. Now need to try and get the other tca off from the other side.

Thanks, thats the cleanest wheel out of the 4, could do with a refurb. Will do!

Got it all lowered about a week ago. Took it out the garage yesterday and gave it a bit of a clean. New rear handbrake cables fitted, just need to do the rear brake lines and buy new track rod ends for it.. Then hopefully get the wings sprayed.

So bought a k&n... Pretty big, tidys up the bay a bit though. Also, new track rod end fitted and arm painted. Hopefully get the rear brake lines done within the next few weeks or so. Wings are currently get primered and the car will be taken to get them sprayed and blended into the doors, bonnet etc. and i will also try and get an mot for it at the same time.
