My airbag light has come on 9n tdi , pluged vag com in and used vcds to get the fault

Side Airbag Igniter; Front Driver Side (N199): Resistance too High

As me and a friend understood probs a loose / split wire or connection

Where do i start to even check the wiring ?

I have no cluse where this is.

My understanding is to whack off the battery terminal and leave to loose all power

Then check the wiring but does anyone have an idea where the wiring is to check?

It's worth checking the battery connections, ie the firmest and where the wire attach to the connectors and also the battery voltage, if it's low it will do wired things like this.

- also have you clean the codes with VAGCOM? Has the light come back on with the same error?

I remember mine came on when I went over a pot hole and had a similar code.

Yeah i cleared the codes with vcds , light went off. I moved my seat and it came back on so my gut feeling it is a loose connection within my seat or underneath? Just unsure where to check for the loose connection.

I have a little one (after re-reading this i mean a little girl), being a 3 door were always using my drivers seat to get her in the back as my passenger one's folding cable has stretched / come out of place in the seat.

Not going too well....

theres a plug under you are seat, undo the allen bolt that holds you are seat on, slide it off its runners and check the plugs condition.....

Chop the said plug off and hard wire the connections, erase the fault and see what happens.

It's quite a common fault
