You should be able to find something cheap and solid. Especially with no need for it to be in good condition in the mechanical sense.

Any coupe will do and they are probably the easiest of the three shapes to find in good condition.

That's why I went for the mk3 coupe :)..

Not a chance this is a tall tail :).. This is 100% going ahead. Buying the donor car off a friend next month do that's the engine, wiring and box plus bucket seats and harnesses sorted plus braking the rest of the car to pay towards the build.. I'm seeing this to the end :)
