Think about it, Mr middle England scoffing at the young whipersnappers being banned from modding cars only to realise that this could also affect the equally middle England bloke next door with his show standard MG midget

Quoted for truth.

What a load of rubbish lol its the last thing this country or any other eu country needs with the turndown.

But our government will most probably jump on this to squash it like hereos, something like "GB THUMBS DOWN EU MOTORING REGULATION"

in the hope people forget they are to fucking weak to deal with the problems, like the court of human rights for example

Anyone got a technologically retarded 28yo engine i can buy? I need to rip out my cleaner modern engine and put the original design back in.

Note to the Hitler crew - i will do this instead of buying a new european car, btw.

If this information is true and that there is serious thinking about this happening then would it not be a good idea for something or someone to do something about it, for starters there is such a thing as a e-petition which can be done aline if 100,000 people registers and sign it online then it will have to go though parlarment and be discussed properly before a decision is made on it and possible made that this will never happen

just had a look on the goverment e-petition website and have found that a petiton has been started

Epetitions ain't worth the paper their not writtwn on

if it was to be seriously considered it would be an outrage, if a car had to be the same as it was when it first come out of the factory it would be unsafe in comparison to todays vehicals and if it was a cause of engines being changed the goverment want to get rid of un eco and shitty engines so why cant we just make our old cars have nice new modern upgrade to bring them into the 21st centery

old styling with modern technology

Because that doesn't sell new cars

If you read the thread on retro rides about it people who have read the proposals have asked the ACE to point out exactly where it says this and that and not just where in their opinion it could be interpreted as this and that, and they couldn't. They just kept saying "i posted a link earlier" or some thing similar, but it was always just links to snipits that they were interpreting as something

So in the ACE's opinion its "armageddon" but that really is just their opinion. The danger now is that if this does just turn out to be them getting the wrong end of the stick and beating up a panic, what happens the next time when it could possibly be a genuine reason to panic? Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf?

I don't even care.

Until it actually happens (really likely???) I will continue to enjoy my modified car thanks

auto express just used ACE as its source, FAIL. still not gonna happen.
