Year/Reg: 2000/W574 PGR.

Mileage: ~93k. I've seen people still running these cars smooth at 150k.

MOT: Until September 2013.

Tax: Until February 2013.

Good points: Just been put through it's MOT so everything is sound, good to go. Gearbox & clutch sound. Pedal box crack was welded. Body work.

All this car needs is a nice set of wheels and a GTI spoiler and it will look mint.

Bad points: Not much, tracking is off? Might get it sorted if I have spare time. The rear bumper has what looks like dog scratches on it? The paint has been taken right off it as you can see in the pic - hasn't bothered me enough to sort it - It is the flat bit at the top, I will get a picture of it soon. The boot handle is a bit weird as well - most boot handles are like this. Lastly, there is a slight rattle at around 2000rpm which is the heat shield at the bulkhead - If I get round to it I will take it off and replace it if required.

For sale is my much loved Volkswagen Polo 1.0E. The reason for sale of this car is because I have now been driving for a while and I can insure a more powerful car. This car has been wonderful over the time I've had it and I'm infact going to purchase another one but the 1.4 model of the car. This car would be perfect for a first time driver as it is; cheap to tax; incredibly cheap to run (around 60miles on £10) and really cheap to insure. Volkswagens are known for reliability and this model hasn't let me down as you should all know being part of this forum. I would say I'm quite a VW enthuasist, I previously had a Lupo before this.

The car is on 93k miles which may seem a lot but Volkswagens are very reliable cars and will last a lot longer if you treat them properly and are serviced which this has been. I recently carried out a service on the car myself. The car does not blow out blue smoke\black smoke and isn't puffing lots of white smoke neither. There is no mayo in the oil filler cap or in the coolant.

The car body work is in pretty good condition for it's age. As the car is a W reg it was made in 2000 which means it is around 12 years old you are expected to expect some scratches and a few dents which there are. Further more the body work has been looked after over the years as there is no signs of rust(remember the 6n2 body was galvanised) - it has been washed mostly every weekend and waxed when needed by myself since I purchased it. I believe the previous owner done the same. From the pictures you will be able to see that the body work is pretty good.

Earlier this year the pedal box snapped which is a common fault with these cars, my Dad has however welded the snap and the car now drives fine. The gearbox is also a common fault with these cars but the gearbox is sound (no whining noises).

The car has been recently put through an MOT where it got two new tyres and a new front left ABS sensor (melted it when heating bolts to do the wheel bearing when I got it) to go through it's MOT. I'm unsure if I still have the receipt for the wheel bearing.

The car is lowered on JOM coilovers, these coilovers are decent and were fitted in March when I bought the car so they are fairly new. These will not be included if the price is not right and the standard shocks and springs will be put back on, if the price is I will keep the coilovers on and i will include the old shocks and springs if you require them. The helper springs and spacers are also intact. The coilovers are also not seized! When the coilovers were fitted two new track rod ends were fitted as well (receipt is available). Just because it's lowered does not imply I am a boy racer, I would say I was the complete opposite and I'm a rather sensible driver - I just love the look of a lowered car.

The car also has a GTI grill and if the price is not right neither I will be removing this as well, might seem snidey but it wasn't cheap.

I have also fitted remote central locking to the car. I purchased an Rclick kit and fitted it.

The car also comes with a service history and a few receipts and also previous MOT history.

As the car has been recently MOTd it has also just been recently taxed until February.

If I also have the time I will have the cars alignment done, I'm incredibly busy with college and work at the moment.

The car also has carbon wrapped door handles which looks pretty cool.

I bought the car from someone in Washington, Tyne and Wear and I was informed that the clutch was replaced during the period they owned it - I can confirm it is not slipping.

You are getting a lot car for the money, brilliant first car or even second or third or a car for just nipping around town! It returns back ~50mpg, very economical car!!! I will also give it a good wash, tcut and wax + a hoover out before the buyer comes to see it if I have the spare time to do it and if it stays dry which in Scotland is rare lol.
