Awesome, definetly putting the AEE in the GT now, couldn't beleive how punchy it is!!

You decided on whats happening with the engine then? My vote goes to forged internals with a G60 charger...

It might have been asked already but what fuel pump are you using. Looks a nice neat setup :)

CBR 600 bike pump mate. Bilco has the same also, can get them for around 20-30£ :)

& cheers people

Quick this, as fast as my G when it had 65mm pulley and chip (130-135bhp) . I'll chuck the videos up of your runs when I get in

I have been doing some thinking and stuff and reflecting on the weekend.

At action I ran a 15.7, since then I have changed the cam and flywheel (however this one isn't actually much lighter than the lightened 6n one)

So then ran a couple of 15.0's and a 14.9 the weekend, in the 6n I ran a 16.1 I think.

So, the best 60' time in the mk3 is now 2.3, that was on the 14.9, the 6n did a 2.35, with all that extra weight and engine not so strong.

I'm also using a dizzy that I'm not convinced is fully right, and have this mappable shit to go on,

Also, looking at others times, people can achieve around 10mph higher terminal speed but a slower run time than me, and looking at my sheet; I can do:

0-74mph in 1/8 of a mile; but then terminal is 89, so I only gain a further 15mph in 1/8 of a mile! Shocking!

Maybe gearing needs looking at to gain some top end.

Anyway, thinking if I get ignition mapped, and some slicks, slightly larger diameter than the current road tyres to effectively up the gearing, I think i may be able to achieve a 14.5, which would be mega tbh!

Other little things seem to help too, iv noticed air temp has a MASSIVE effect on how hard it pulls, felt livelier on the way home than it did all day on strip, and ignition is dead sensitive to 1-3 degrees movement.

So yeah; what do we reckon? 14.5 from a 1.6 8v?

Also, some pics courtesy of josh, Sunday morning at pod on arrival, wasn't overly convinced by the jets I got, so swapped back to 130's...

This is just me all over.

Changing jets, and grinning like a idiot haha!

Need to get this MJ sorted, lack of room, may switch to the V belt pulley setup for space by chassis leg :)

Just been on a rolling road...

Video here...

http://s963.beta.photobucket.com/user/harr...4A4CAA.mp4.html

Apologies on quality, mate filmed it and text it me, defo got quality raped, will see if he can youtube it!

Never printed graphs off, saved on the computer at RR so can do in future mind.

Basically, made:

At the wheels:

98hp @ 5500rpm

145nm @ 2800rpm

Corrected to fly:

119.5hp

167nm

Did a test at a roll on at about 2500rpm, and the torque was there instantly and remained pretty flat the entire time, AFR was very stable too.

Not too bad

Edited by harris.racing

What ignition set up are you using there ?

Not a bad result there dude, I reckon you're right with a tiny bit of tinkering it'll make 14.5 then time for boostings! :-D
