And Mark, I was gonna use carbs, they're really simple and easy and to be honest for what I use the car for you can get the fuelling plenty good enough, the AEEs running well at the minute alongside the mappable ignition. But seeing as everyone in the world now has bike carbs thought I'd try ITBs, more of a learning curve for myself, not just potential gains, although at what I think the difference between carbs and ITBs will be pretty minor - still think carbs will actually be better through the range with the variable venturi...but I haven't read any books lol.

Will have a look, I'm in two minds with doing too much to the whole car to be honest, want to keep at it but the same time I can throw money at it for little gain for how much I use it, trying to save for a house seems favourable at the moment.

Been away for a few weeks, came home and now have an inlet manifold for the Jenveys too, but it's straight so may need some form of angled plate to compensate for how the engines canted over.

Hopefully build engine over winter and fit/wire up around march time perhaps, not too rushed at all lol.

Really good build mate I like your door speakers they look like a proper fit, were they hard to find? We're did you get your bonnet struts?

Also just a question is that t pull wire red handle thing for the choke? Or is it a switch? Obviously with itb you won't be needing that lol

Not really, sealing them to the door cards vastly improved their performance though.

Bonnet struts were off my 6n, which IIRC came from venom Motorsport.

Red handle is for my fire extinguisher, plumbed in under bonnet

That's a good idea quicker than opening the bonnet not that you want a fire though.

Bought an inlet manifold, shocking quality, didn't even fit ITBs properly, those "Spencer Ashley" ones on eBay, shocking, worse communication too, ignore emails etc. ordered in Sept, still not here.

Right think I have a plan in my head for this now.

Been stuck between making a more extreme version, lightening, stiffer, more of a track toy. But decided to take the direction of a "weekend" type car, so going to build a bit more comfort into the chassis and make a false floor for the back etc.

Looking to get a house in the next year or so, so track days would probably be off the cards anyway, so makes sense to make a weekendy type vehicle!

Not used this at all, intend on taking it in to work tomorrow for a run out. Have chucked the interior in this week as it's been sat in the garage, and gave it a clean.

Have mentioned before about the paint not being fond of weather. It seems porous so stains really easily..

Couldn't leave it in this state, so gave it a very quick polish and wax by hand, will be cleaned properly when the weathers not shite.

Weekend cars can still be thrashed up the strip and round the track but its just more relaxing driving to them!

if you want a really hard wearing wax you might wanna give collinite 476s a try. Takes a bit of effort to apply and remove, but it will give a winters worth of protection in one hit

It's really strange man - my neighbour is a Valeter and into detailing etc, we've tried a mad variety of sealants and waxes, just nothing seems to last!
