just turned 17 and finding insurance is killing me! could anyone help with naming cheap insurance companies? cheapest i've found so far 2700 once passed, so anything cheaper would be a real help. thanks a lot:)

When I was 17, Privilege were the cheapest by a long way and they were cheaper every year during renewal. I know a lot has changed since then but they still seem to be the cheapest for me, and I try and get a new quote most years from others.

Second option, have you tried Herts insurance? Try them and mention VolksZone, I think they have a special rate with VZi.

If you are in a major city, male, 17 and just passed your test, I suspect you aren't going to shave much off that quote. We've paid 2700-2900 for a small hatchback (not Polo), recently passed test, 18 yo female, mainly I suspect because we are close to Manchester. Our best quote was with LV = Liverpool Victoria. If you aren't in a big city I'd keep looking because I think you could do better than 2700 if you are somewhere more rural.
