Today i cleaned the engine ready for paint, whilst chatting to Senior Higgo about his mk1.

Tomorrow gotta clean the rest of the pieces, starter, whatever else i'm gonna paint...

Can you not just use the existing sump? If your not mega low you should be fine.

Toby isn't mega low and i can see how mines going to sit, should be ok i guess but mayswell do it so i can take a section out of the exhaust mani to raise it

I've got plans, don't worry . Another question if anyone would care to answer, are the gt fuel pumps rated at the same pressure as my 1.0 spi? Just saves me buying one if they are?

They are iirc, MPI is all the same.... However, aftermarket uprated pumps arent ''that'' dear. I have a BMW item on mine :-)

Gonna chop the section out above filter to the top of the V bracket which gains me 1.5" of room as bending it wont cut it, i can tweek it a little but it wont give me enough room if i don't cut some out.

Picked up some parts this evening :). Gt box, steering damper, my old g40 fuel pump :) and a few odds and sods off my G lol, my front coilovers have also come!

Oh and checked out jakes setup, so jealous.....haha
