I have been out of town for a work trip for 5 weeks and I had the original 4-speed gearbox with me so I cleaned and painted it :)

I'll be using this 4speed for starters and upgrade it to some 5speed when this breaks or I find a good one...

Some cleaning done:

Also I received the timing belt covers, but I didn't think this through when I was ordering... They are for 6n and it has that large engine mount, which I don't have ofcourse :( Now I need to order some new ones. I have read that the ones off of Seat Ibiza would be good for this, no extra holes on them.

And good news about sourcing parts is that I won a bid on ebay of a rear beam with the anti-roll bar! It will need some cleaning and painting which will be next in my to-do list. Once I won the bid, I ordered new bushings for the rear beam from maxrpm.de, they should be same hard plastic material as the arb-blocks.

Front brakes are now fully assembled and they fit nicely inside the tiny Tramonts :)

Rear axle is now ready to go under the car... Just left the old one's bolts soaking in crc penetrating oil this evening and I'm going to take it down this weekend :)

Engine is now in!

Pulley is pretty close to the body, what have people usually done to this?

You may need to tickle the arb mount with a grinder to allow clearance for the belt ..

Better off pulling the engine up and putting the alternator and belt on out of the car :) !

Hint: lower radiator hose from Nissan s13 200sx fits the AFH perfectly!

And I got bunch of these stickers from eBay cheap so tried them on, not sure if they are staying...

Yes actually, I had something done tonight already :)

Intake manifold is almost done! Still need to make outlets for the vacuum, but otherwise its ready and carbs fit in there very nice :)

Love this build, just put that same catch can on mine. Cover looks cool too
