looking for advice on mot advisory items

I was planning on changing the suspension on the 1.3 6n I bought for my daughter so the fact that its shot isn't really an issue but as her first car I want to keep it as mod free as possible so was wondering if the higher engined models had lower suspension as standard so I could fit that therefore lowering it slightly while still being oem & what are the best top mounts to go for?

the second issue is the rear beam bushes...are these easy to do, how do I do it and are standard bushes ok or would you go for uprated ones? I don't really want poly bushes as I heard they stiffen everything up

The sports model was the 16v, it had beefed up anti roll bars F&R but still had 4x4 ride height.

40mm lowering springs with standard dampers works well, no notable compromise. They're progressively wound, so the first inch of travel is nice and supple.

The rear bushes are easy to change thanks to being moulded in a metal cup, just use a mallet or nylon/leather hammer to knock the old ones out and knock the new ones in (but mind it doesn't bounce back at your face).
