Where is central locking control module in my 6n?

Featured Replies

I understand that I can buy a remote central locking kit which basically connects to the central locking electrical unit / module so instead of turning the key to activate the locks, the remote control module unlocks the car instead.

Can anyone help? I hope i explained it properly. Thanks in advance.

Daft and obvious as it sounds..... It is simply in the drivers door? Behind the door handle somewhere?

I'm not really sure what your question is?

You can buy universal keyless entry/remote kits, and you will have to wireit in the the central locking pump which is in the boot. Assuming this is a 6n/6n2? There are many guides on here to fitrinf these and it is fairly simple.

Ther is nothing behind the doors that controls central locking only a switch in the door lock that lets the pump to suck or blow.

Thanks for thereply dixy. Sorry for not being clear. So the question was pretty much to get to what you said. i want to buy a universal type keyless remote kit and wondered how to fit it and where to fit it. Had no ideas that the main gubins are in the boot. Yes its a 1997 6n i have with factory central locking.
