Picked this up yesterday for a good price, it's a 1.2 S if that means anything to you.. has only done 70k miles and all seems well.

Money is really tight for me, as I can only really work through the summer and half terms, as I'm at college, and I have one of those girlfriend thingys which takes up the weekends... but I managed to save enough for this, with the sale of my 92 Rover Mini, I should have a few pennys left over maybe..

So my plans;

ordered some smoked tint film, as I didn't like how red the rear lights are, and I want them to blend in a bit

debadge the 'polo' badge

black out both the front and rear VW badges

remove the beautiful hub caps, and either replace them with some slightly nicer looking ones, or see how it looks on steels (maybe paint them orange just because..)

and it may even get a poke with the lowering stick if I can afford the coilys (well my choice is coilys on steels, or some vw/audi/nice alloys at standard height)

Also, whilst I'm at it, how do I go about replacing the N/S main beam bulb? I read a how to, but I can't find it now, I looked at the light cluster and pulled the cover off, but can't work out how the bulb physically comes out

have to remove the bumper to do the lights... pretty easy, had mine of about 6 times now, won't take longer than half hour :)

ah really? I'm sure the thread I was reading didn't say the bumper needed to come off?

A village near Alton mate, about an hour away from Reading

Today I gave her a wash and polished a bit, but decided it was far too hot, so I took the badge off and retreated inside and carbon wrapped it, and sprayed the backing black, I think it looks alright

Also debadged it, didn't use a heat gun at all, the suns heat sorted that out haha

Later on I'm hopefully changing the headlight bulb, and hopefully wrap the front vw if I work out how to take it out haha

Also will hopefully get a new boot lid at some point as this one has a crease in it, but it's okay for now

Rather than taking the front bumper off, take it to Halfords and pay £3.99 and get it fitted in 5 minutes. Its what i do anyway.

I fitted it myself, literally took my about 2 minutes overall, couldn't see what the fuss was about tbh

Dropped on those standard wheels, with some epic spacers, might actually look pretty cool
