*SOLD* Golf Mk1 White, Low, Banded Steels

Featured Replies

*SOLD*

I have decided to sell my 1983 Mk1 Golf as I now want something a bit newer. I've done all the mods myself and they are mostly brand new as i only did 2,000 of the miles that are on the car. The car was only used to go to and from uni and to get to the gym which is 6 miles away and I've recently started cycling instead. The car has only done 54,700 miles which shouldn't rise too much. The paint is the car's original paint so obviously it isn't perfect but it isn't bad. The rear seats are currently not in the car but i do have them as pictures, i also have a spare rear bench. No Curbing or damage on the wheels they were brand new when i fitted them, the tyres were also brand new.

3 Door

1.0 Litre Petrol Engine

White Paint

Manual Transmission

Things I've added/changed

Mk2 Golf Front and back seats - great condition

Brand new Wheel bolts

7J Front, 8J Rear Banded Steels 14" 4x100 - Done 1,000 miles or less

175/50/R14 Tyres all Round - Done 1,000 miles or less

JOM Coilovers - Done 1,000 miles

GTI front splitter

GTI Grill/Grill Surround

Crosshair Headlights

Smoked Front Indicators

Polo 6n Driver's side wiper blade

New Pressed Plates front and back with heavy duty velcro for the rear.

Bad points

No sound system though it comes with speakers

The driver's side seat belt doesn't retract amazingly sometimes needs a bit of help

The Driver's side window winder has snapped of but wouldn't be hard to screw a new one on

Some of the parts are not in the car as I stripped it out but I've put most of the needed stuff back in

If you think I might have missed something let me know.

Everything in the pictures is included in the sale, all the pictures were taken today so it's all up to date.

I have the original parts for everything I've changed and spares that came with the car.

The car is based between Coventry and Rugby

This looks AMAZING

dont mean to be a hater just had few questions. Has it got or had any bodywork or shell problems and how low is it ? would it still go over speed bumps?

cheers

cheers mate, there is some rust to the right of the boot catch, there was some to the left of it which i sanded down and sprayed so thats sorted but i didn't get round to sorting out the spot of rust to the right.

the lowest point is the splitter which is the only thing that catches really, non of the underside catches but i try to be careful with it anyway and avoid bad roads. The GTI splitter is pretty flexible and tough, i've seen a guy lose his front wheel with one, the splitter was fully tucked under the car and yet it was still alright. but yeh the splitter is the only thing thats likely to catch, just have to make sure you go slow if you come across a big hump

Would you consider a swap with a mk2f/mk3 polo gt? Coilovers, schrick cam, 1400 etc?

Soooo nice, worth every penny IMO. If I had the cash I would be straight over hah.

Ok bud cheers for reply :) hope you get your mk5 golf

Aha its more about the bank balance my friend. Its one thing buying a car but its another paying for the petrol to drive half way up the country and back!

Is this sold?
