Well long story short I couldnt fund the G anymore and was getting into drifting agian, Mk2moo had an nice mx5 1.6 import that was perfect.

I've had it a while now and had so much fun in it, It came fairly standard bar coilies.

Driving it home the accelerator jammed on fully throttle on the motorway, scary shit when your in traffic  That was just down to the cable being loose and getting stuck in the throttle wheel. Next problem I found driving it back that the clutch started to slip in 4th and 5th at slow speeds

Thought fuck it carry on, even took it to buxton raceway and drifted for two whole days:

Only tapped the wall once :D but the clutch didnt servive, ended up dying on the last run of the event

Back home I attempted to do the clutch myslef on 4 axle stands.........couldnt do it; mainly because I'm using a huge breaker bar on the gearbox bolts and its moving the car before it cracks them off.

So I got a drifting mate to do the clutch for me at a garage, while most of the shit was off the diff naturaly got welded :D

All went well for a month, lots of tinkering, manly setting up camber ect by eye and finding the sweet spot on the coilies - so its not to stiff it jumps up into the air on bumpy roads, but still mainting lows.

She also got fully stripped out bar the dash.

Last weekend was buxton agian:

Car was performing awsomly and mananged to twin drift with a few of the lads.

Saturday night they changed the direction of the track, and like a hero I slammed into the concrete barriers at 40mph. Lots of cosmetic damage and a bent wishbone.

Got it trailered home, did some late night bodgernearing, hammer to the arches and changed the tracking to compensate for the wishbone and i was back at buxton at 11.30pm to camp over 8-)

No crash damage pics though, didnt have time

Ended up killing 10 tyres last weekend, not bad for 115bhp

The toad made it till the end of the drift event on the sunday, shes now off the road awaiting a new wishbone and wing

Yeah il see you there Olly I'm there every month now giving the MX pure shit  Next one is the 6th & 7th of october

Chris: cheers mate, Its silly cheap to drift at buxton, £10 entry and £10 to drift all day!

Plans are to buy a cheap non T+T Mx5 and piledge everything off it, including what I broke at buxton, As it was my daily I'm now having to walk everywhere

Also need to get more lock on the go, the pictures above dont show it at full lock, but MX5s have very little lock, so some welding or spacers should sort that, as the wheel base is so short it tends to spin if i hold it on the lock stops to long.

Need a proper roll bar, as the one i have is a show bar and is only bolted in 2 places

Respray too, got twocolours in mind....nato green or satin sky blue :)

I have basically a full MX5 breaking if you need anything Matt. Only things which aren't available are the front bumper and wings, subframes/suspension/brakes, and prop/driveshafts.

So the rest of the panels, interior and engine/gearbox are all available.

The only thing I'm in desperate need of is a passanger side lower arm, which i guess you will be using

Il probably bob down next month mate (if its at your gaf like) and see what i can perchace of you :D

theres 2 local mx5's that are going cheap, a £300 faded red one, and a £400 full veilside kitted one thats tempting.

Me and my brother have been in thinking about droping a mk3 loon shell on top of the mx5, Would be awsome and pretty rapid, lets not forget a mk3 loon going sideways would be epic!

Wahey, I approve !

Front or back fella? I will be making custom length rears for mine so I can let the rears go :-)

I'll be joining the 5 crew soon, just waiting for payday......
