Ok.... Wired up supposidly all properly (white/red was grey/red And white/black was grey/black) my instruction said connect green rcl wire(has fuse on it)to one end of a wire i had to cut (worked out to be black/red) and white on the other end of that wire... And join a black and purple to each other on the rcl unit... Did all this and it locks fine and led flashes... Wont unlock by button though... When unlocked by key i press unlock and the pump then makes a noise but obviously doesnt do anything... The lock wire sends roughly 10v when press button and locks doors... With doors still unlocked press unlock and the orange (unlock wire) send a weaker voltage.. When doors are locked the same orange wire sends no volts when press unlock????

They usually say that, but no need to chop any wires, just have it set up to provide momentary signal and put it to the relavent wire. Ie live goes into the control unit then when you pres unlock it gives 12v to the output wire for a second or so and this wire is connected to the unlock wire on the locking pump.

Don't stress over it, I'm sure its just the odd cable in the wrong place.

On the plus side some1 just called me about my 2005 astra cdti 150 sri xp, hopefully that will be gone tonite and have more money to buy a decent alarm lol... So far adjustable coilovers, air filter, alloys, back box (plus i welded a bit of pipe where the centre box was) bonnet bra and audio... All that in less than a week :/ expensive hobby :)

Ok now i said the same wire that locks it wont unlock it on the "unlock wire" i just did a test of bridging the main power to the unlock wire and it unlocked... How am i going to boost the voltage on the unlock wire?

Really the best way is to find an online erosion of your wiring diagram or scan it and post it on here. As we could guess for ever and probably end up damaging something.

What does it say on the box it came in, like a manufacturer or model number.

I am sure it is a simple error somewhere as it should work straightaway.

On playing with the locking i have found if i pull the drivers door pin up after i have locked it... Everything stays locked and then press unlock button and everything unlocks?!? Is there a security thing that shut it off with drivers door pin down? Its actually a 1997 not a 96 dont know if makes a difference?
