Hey I used to be an old paid member and built myself an ABD GT mk3 be good to know if it's still kicking about so here's a couple of pics

Anyway i've popped back on for a reason although I've moved onto the more powerful jap imports my mate recently bought a skoda felicia 1.3 now would I be correct in saying the skodas share the same chassis as the mk3 polo and everything is interchangeable from engine to suspension?

Unfortunately the Felicia shares nothing in terms of chassis with the Mark3 Polo. If anything its closer related to a Mark4, as some of the Mark4s engines were used throughout the Felicias production.

K601 SLB isn't on the DVLA database so it's either been out on a private place or worse.

Shares very little with Polos - yes there was a VW engined 1.6, but that uses the old Skoda gearbox as it was easier to just make an adaptor plate to fit it than engineer the VW box in. The felicia also used the 1.9D, i don't know what gearbox it used.

Volkswagen's input was really to improve/facelift the eastern block Favorit (to make the Felicia), which was from the pre-VW era. Nothing Polo is interchangable - to be honest the pre-6n VW suspension was probably inferior to the Favorits, the Favorit was doing well in rallies.

I never realised it was a rehashed Favorit! I thought it was a supposedly new replacement, but yeah, placing them side by side its very obvious!

yep chassis is the same as the fav, actually handles pretty well and is massively better than pre 6n polos stock vs stock. i ran a feli pick-up for a while with the 1.9 d engine (vw engine, skoda box) all in all i thought it was a cracking motor! the pick-up uses the estate platform (another bit of useless info!) steering wheels are from the polo on the feli so use vw std size spline
