back sits higher than the front

rear rubber 205/55R13

front rubber 195/50/R13

how much is it lowered? I think the stance is nearly perfect, maybe a litle bit lower at the front for me!!! :)

Not sure really as not driven it with this set up but the legal side of things state wheels have to be within the wheel arches. .

Looking at the tyres I would say the rear rubbed when cornering hard and that was which a 1.4 16v.

Think all the suspension will be changee.g. Will try and keep the stance but want the back a bit lower.

Good luck getting the mk3 low with a 20vt!

20vt1_zpsd914dd32.jpg

Got some mk2 16 valve hubs on there way and just mk3 VR6 drive shafts. Need to get some golf coilovers and

once i have all thoughs bit we can make it all fit.

Looks good man, gonna be a tight fit that. Let me know when the old box is up for grabs

I see the mk1 you bought is the one built for the 999 challenge by the lad on here, didn't go for a bad price at all on eBay

Hopefully the 20vt plans will come to something this time, as said people post up regularly saying they will do it but never do (your mk1 was going to be a 20vt at one point). It would be good to finally see one over here, its something that is done a fair bit over in Germany but it just never seems to happen over here :(

It will happen :-D .

I am just getting all the parts togeter at the moment so it can be done in big stages this way i will not waiting for parts etc. Also we have to much work in the shop at the moment to really start choping and making it a non roller.

As soon as i have the intercooler, radiator drive shaft, hubs and coilovers for the front i will get on my way. Ahh also the time!!!!

The plans for the Mark one are very different :wink:.

Not posted in a while as i have been collecting the parts that i need.

Just need to get an intercooler , radiator and set of coilovers and we can get under way.

Gaz I will PM you when i have the box out if you still want it.

Will post some new pictures up next week of a few bits and bobs.

Hows it going? looks like a good build

Been really interested in this from day one

Please tell me you have the 20v in, or atleast trial fitted

Will be one of the best sleepers I've seen. Along with The Beige Beast and the 1047bhp mk1 ;)

Also if Gaz doesn't have the box let me know mate. Cheers

Just stumbled across this - I really think youre doing the right thing going down the 20vt route.

Yes it's possible to put a PY or 1W turbo in, but it's just easy - it really doesn't impress me, that's why I'm staying away from it now. I could go out now and buy everything to do so and swap it next week - but I don't want to. Sure I'll have a reliable 200+ hp, I just don't see the point.

Be nice to see a UK 20vt, and I think it's more than achievable, people on here are very narrow minded to what they read on car forums, whereas if people went along to race meetings they'd see what kind of engines are crammed into things; where car forums said "no it wont work"

So good luck, after all, some people enjoy building cars. Will put hundreds of hours, blood sweat and tears. Then sell them anyway - as their enjoyment is building them and accomplishing something new/unique, not actually driving or enjoying it. So I will be following this, and best of luck.

Any updates?

Ideally you want a left hooker shell so you can do this:

German ebay item number 181090680153

I'm just looking to buy another loon atm and plan on a 20v or abf lump. is this finished or still going hows it coming along?

I have all the parts except driveshafts as need to make them.

Have worked out how we are going to do it but have been really busy since December with work so not reallly done to much other than collected parts etc.

Plan to start get thing moving in the next month or so.

As you can see from this post it is not really the choice of engine due to size but it can be done.

will start posting as we get to work on it.
