Fuck that, this is clubpolo

Trolololololol.

Ferrari F40

Five grand eh?

You could get two Audi TT's for that.

Or one 225bhp Audi TT quattro with leather, all the toys, and a proper set of rims - you'd have the nicest one on clubpolo.

Cheap motors now they're no longer the height of fashion ;)

could easy get a v6, the proper one. For 5k. But i'd have got ridiculed even more for suggesting that...hence r32.

Whatever the beef is, i guarantee i've heard it before

Some kid at edition shouted daddys boy at me - i hung out the window and shouted "no actually, your mums boy" - didn't go down well

Buy a leon cupra r, or as I have done a cupra for insurance purposes, stage one is as quick as an r.

Once you get over the modern $hit its a good car, miles better than my 6n and I loved that car!

Also imo a nicer looking car than a golf.

How would you know TT fag?

race? (in snow)

Game on. I've got a set of snow tyres.

impreza. proper car.

S2 or S4, Cupra R's are good, should leave you some money for mods too

Thought about a Mk Golf VR6 Supercharged? One on ED38 atm

There is even a 4-motion supercharged on ED38 for that kinda money too.

All practical fast-ish cars......

Might even be able to find/build a mk2 golf 1.8T

Dont be tempted by a honda, mates recently got a TypeR on a 52 plate ( dont know the code )

Its shit, proper shit....clocks go up quickish, but theres no feel of power. even when VTEC YO! kicks in.

Turbo'd jap RWD cars is what id be looking at. FWD is just boring for me now.

Skyline

S13

Mx5 turbo

As said before an m3 would be worth looking at, or a e36 328I drift speced to shit

i said this before and got told "you went in the wrong sort of type R" i'm sorry i didn't realise there was a right type

i wasn't impressed by it in the slightest, infact underwhelmed would probably be the best way to describe my experience. i was more impressed by the clio cup i had a go in (may of been the 172 but not sure) people rave about the handling but i never got a chance to test that really but it did feel like an old skool hot hatch unlike shit like the mk4 golf GTI

Hondas are THE GAYEST OBJECTS known to man. Especially the ones with a red badge.

Its true, i haven't been in a honda that has even put a smile on my face tbh. and I've been a few models of Type R's and various other quick ones.

Yet to go out in my mates Jordan that he has recently supercharged though... i bet that's pretty fucking quick now.

S2000 is a very different machine to a CTR.

One of my favourite weekly cars, a great driving machine.

would be a mk5 golf gti for me anyday 8-)

There's some good Hondas out there, just none of them have 4 wheels.

S2000 is a good car, and I'd not turn my nose up at an NSX either.

NSX

now something we agree on.

NSX is pretty special, it'd certainly be moving well on from a 6n2 GTi.. i remember seeing it at the Birmingham motor show when i was bunking off 6th form, so that was probably oct '90.

Had a Civic 1.5GT once, was rusty but good fun. That was long too, '95 i think.

I'd have any 2+2 CRX.

Mk4/5 Golf

A good sized engine Bora (look nice once you have put some work into them)

or even branch out into other VAG companies like Audi A3's, the 1.8T is a good engine, you may even be able to get a decent S3 for that money!

Just remember, don't go french or go and buy an Ashtray or Astra as i have heard a few people call them

I'd stay away from anything based on a Mk4 golf. Even though the 6N2 GTi isnt the best handling car in the world its light years ahead of the Mk4! If you want to stay hot hatch you have to go French, they make the best ones! Clio renaultsports, 205/309 GTi's etc. Get a decent one and you'll never go back!

Fabia VRS? I've just bought myself one but the Special Edition one comes with leather cruise control. I got a low mileage one for £8K but you can get them with 90kish on for £4k-£5k.

Great car 130bhp, plenty of spec and trick bits, cheap to insure, 50mpg all the time!

NSX

now something we agree on.

There was a mint red one, UK spec for sale locally before I got the Datsun. It'd have been a lot more money, but I reckon aside from normal running costs; depreciation wouldn't be a worry.

Would've been madness to get it and use as a daily though, not because it's not capable - but because it'd be too precious to risk getting scraped and dinged. Using a '90s supercar as a daily and keeping a butchered 20 year old Polo as a weekend car seemed like warped logic even for me!

The sound of them, One of the greatest.

You're right though.

I'd be buying one of them as a weekend toy!

^^ Must be a better video around than that? I didn't watch it for long, got bored with his grandad driving, recon he was just running it in with those revs..

hey nice one! my other car is a civic 1.3dx and its a beast xD

how about a mk1 or 2 crx?

if it were my 5 grand i'd probably buy a 16v mk1 rex and then something more sensible for the other 5 days in the week. or that and an RX7 mk1 turbo and fuck sensibility xD
