As above, my custom 6n2 bootlid.

Started life as a standard bootlid. then i decided to be abit different. 1st i removed the badge to see what i was dealing with.

Then i saw altho the standard lid has a giant vw badge stuck on, there is a recess behind it. I decided to keep this.

With this recess, i decided to fit the vw sharan/passat badge, which fits completely flush both diameter and depth.

I then, with the help of a bodyshop friend, welded up & smoothed the boot handle - but that isnt the end of it, I needed it more clean.....

So, i decided what hasnt been done, i welded up & smoothed the 3rd brake light - makes the whole back end look so fresh, as the picture below shows...

To then ensure that the lid would test time and survive, i have fully sound deadened the lid where all work has been undertaken & made it truly solid, upon closing gives a nice THUD to show its not some flimsy bodge job.

The glass has currently got 50% tint, altho should the buyer request, i will remove this no problem, takes seconds.

just like to add, can remove the window tint and clean it up within 10 minutes. if that was putting anyone off.

but you could very easily fit a popper/solenoid, very cheap on ebay.
