Basically, i just bought a 6N. And i want to SORN it, as it wont be going on the road for a bit. Problem is, i have neither a reminder notice or a V5 that is required to SORN it.

Can i SORN it if i have just bought it, or do i have to wait until i receive the V5? Dont want to insure it, as there is no point wasting money, so i'm a bit stuck. I just dont want to get a fine or have it towed or something. Can anyone help, or tell me what i need to do?

If u can find the document reference number u can sorn it online. If not ull have to wait tbh, they dont fine you straight away, there should be some sort of grace period.

The document ref # is on the green slip the seller should of given you, then as Eric says do it online.
