Well; had the car for a few months (bought completely standard) and it currently looks like this:

Since I took this pic i've also put on a stubby aerial, lost the polo writing on the boot...and in the process of getting hold of a solenoid so I can smooth boot it too :) (losing the handle, still keeping the VW badge for now) - would also like to invest into a team momo 300mm wheel with snap off boss but that will have to wait for a while due to monies

Sat on JOM's and porsche cookie cutters at the moment; this weekend i'll be swapping the wheels out for something different...only clue will be that i'll be going back to 4 x 100

I know the car looks a little high; and in order to accomodate the new wheels there will be some archwork taking place and camber added so should be able to go lower without rubbing too much :)

New wheels tomorrow Although won't be on for a week or 2 as arch work needs to take place :)

Also sticking a GTi rear beam on as i've sourced one for a good price so disks all around :)

As said before, looks well as is! I agree with stefan though, if you're going to drop it any more then concentrate on the front.

Thanks guys, totally agree the front does need lowering more than the back...I had a look how close the driveshaft is to my chassis today and it looks like i've got around 20mm to play with...really want to avoid notching but I may have to...getting camber at the rear sorted monday to accomodate these beauties :)

I'll test fit the rears to see what work's required on the arches and hopefully get some spacers for up front to make it sit pretty :)

Next update will probably be with the wheels on hopefully!

Rolled the arches myself and found a roller locally and borrowed it for the day for £25 which i didn't see as too bad (give me a shout if you're in need of one local to TQ postcode)

Gone a little lower, but front needs more...also needing a GTi front splitter so if anybody has one or knows of one for sale let me know

what was the company you borrowed it from? and is it hard to do yourself, bit worried about cracking the paint :S

Chances are you will crack the paint. In essence it all comes down to how much you need to use the roller, whether it be to just simply roll the lip or flare the arch for example.

Pic update

Wanted to photograph the polo for a while now with the new wheels and new lows but having only got around to sorting the front out last night; I got impatient and felt compelled to go out and shoot the polo; unfortunately the weather was wet and VERY cold so I lost enthusiasm almost instantly and just ended up getting a snap for now :)

Here's how it's sitting at the moment; on staggered Rota grid-v's and also got the GTi splitter :) Muchos better!

Look forward to hearing thoughts on this :) Team momo is on the xmas list from mother :)

Well it's not really an update as such; but it's something I've wanted for a while - ROLLING SHOT

Now as i'm incredibly fussy, I wanted to get this photo myself...but finding somebody else who could drive the car who would be insured was just hassle, so I got my mate Paul Cook to grab the shot for me to edit - he took quite a few and edited this one up for his own uses:

Awesome sits so well!! Fair play, all tho, the grey suits the blue better than the white in my view. :)

Cheeers I do prefer the white personally, even if it is verging on chavvy :p

I really want it lower but would require a notch and would just be so impractical...it catches on a fair bit now around my way :(

This is sick, looked 'well stanced' in the first pic already, now it's spot on

Sit well on the rear but the front needs to come down I think. I run jom all the way down and no problem with driveshafts only when cornering hard. All round great work man.

Cheers for the love folks; my friends got me booked in on the 17th at the bodyshop to prep and paint the boot :) Will get a pic once it's been flat and polished :)
