Little problem :(

I was pressing the bushings in and the first two went in fine! The other two are stubburn and dont want to go in! Now i have ruined the new one :( i will have to find alternative ways on this. Any inputs?

Inner :( i will see if i can find polly bushings! I know the rods are tapered! But if i can drill it and insert poly.. I think it can work

If so, there are a number of poly bush suppliers for both the inner and outer bushes. It's just whether they would ship to the US!

Those are the ones! I decided to get new arms with new tie rods too and keep it fresh!

And quick update:

Engine was sandblasted and dropped to machine shop for complete cleaning and head rebuild. It will be a healthy puppy again very soon!

Update:

Had to burn the gasket from them valve cover for it to come out! Sandblasted it and shaved the casting marks.. Now its ready for powdercoating!

Have you got a new gasket rubber? Only place I could get one was vw directly.

I asked Mark to get me all gaskets i needed for this engine.. Not sure where he sourced them from!

And today i got my new track arms! So hopefully i can put the front end on the ground!

Update time:

Installed the track arms and sway bar with arb blocks and test fitted my new wheels!

Also gave it a clean using liquid wax.

BBS RF 15x7 all around at the moment! But will get bigger lips!

The wheels are called orbitals.. They are OEM in Brazil on the vw gol

Not much going on with the project.. Just waiting on the machine shop still!

Went to the machine shop to see what was taking so long and found out they only did the head! So i picked everything up and brought it home! I will do it myself! :(

Love the Gol! What are the specs of the wheels? Width ect. Shame to hear that the machine shop took the p**s :/
