I don't listen to music whilst driving, love music but not really keen on stereos in cars, stereo is for passengers at best.

Yet, against all the stereotypes, I don't drive like my hairs on fire. Most of the time you'd think I had Classic FM on or something..which I do sometimes. Even more when they screw about with the traffic announcements, they turned it off this morning after the traffic and then turned it back on again and I couldn't find the button to shut it off

I'm the same. I tend to find metal relaxing, and have Kerrang on when I'm going to sleep

In the past I have found a masonry chisel will remove a head unit pretty easily

Dont listen to the radio. Its a habit, as my MK1 never had an aerial, My first MK3 had one, but it was a security one, and i couldnt pull it up. Current MK3 has a nice aeriel, but i dont leave it up, so it doesnt get snapped off, and forget pull it up when i get in So much crap on the radio anyway!

I cant drive without music though, just feels weird, and i can hear noises i dont like So my MP3 player is my weapon of choice. Containing a variety of music, mostly rock and metal, with some old school trance chucked in for good measure. Liking Florence & The Machine alot at the moment too. Oh, and not forgetting Gorillaz :-) .

On the very very rare occasion i dont have my MP3, its Kerrang for me.

I take it Kerrang Radio is nothing like the magazine then? It turned to shit in a short space of time.

You can't beat a good bit of Daft Punk, Sabaton*, Van Canto** or Rammstein (metal, basically).

*They do a lot of songs about war, it's pretty cool.

I was never bothered about having a sub before but seeing as my car came fitted with one, I'm a convert.

I listen to Radio 2 if my iPod is out of battery.

Has anyone else in the Bedford region heard of In2Beats radio?

After my battery died (again) everything reset and due to the crap reception and my iPod being dead, I just set the radio to scan and it stopped on 106.5. Seems to be some local Bedford station, playing urban (not my word) tunes.

The 7am DJ on there sounded like some 15 year old idiot that they've dragged of the street and given a fuck load of ecstasy.

Hilarious, but I could only listen for a couple of minutes as he managed to say 'Yeah, one oh six point five.' about 20 times in the 2 minutes I had it on.

If you're into the music then it might be your thing.

I've noticed that, i've had to pull it up at traffic lights a couple of times and i think the person behind me thought i was gonna walk off. But it doesn't come naturally to pull it up when getting into the car, can't get into the habit, when it's positioned for LHD cars. And when it's up, i'ts only a matter of time before i either forget to put it down or don't bother for looking like an idiot.

I don't want a bee sting because it wouldn't suit the car, putting it around the window would work but again that means no period aerial - the periodically aesthetic solution is an electric aerial and that's probably gonna be the way forward for me. Even if that does go against my usual philosophy.
