Hi all,

Have a massive urge for a change, and I'm set on something RWD. I took it from sale before because I was unsure if I wanted to get rid, fitted some cams and a chipped ecu, then decided I do want a change!

Open to PXs involving any kind of BMW 3 series coupe, E36 328s, E46 330ci, E30 with engine swap to something more modern... Come to think of it, nissans, lexus, anything really...

So, the car:

Just had a fresh MOT, and has 5 months Tax. Got loads of receipts for stuff, I've fitted most of it myself but theres stuff there from many years ago too!

Chassis

1994 Vento 2.0 GL, Alpine White

Very minimal body mods;

Smoothed boot,

US rear tub,

Panel lines smoothed between rear quarters and rear panel,

Rolled arches, pulled very slightly on the rear,

Deleted side repeaters,

No rust issues.

Had a decent amount of bodywork done over the last year or two, both rear quarters painted, both front wings done, smoothed front bumper, had new sills and rot around the floor bungs welded up and sealed.

Chassis notch recently done. Only bad point bodywise really is a slight crack in the paint on the passenger rear arch where it has rubbed hard on the wheel causing the damage.

Cheap coilovers in fully functional and unseized condition.

Polybushed front wishbone and arb bushes, poly rear top mounts, OEM R32 rear wishbone bushes.

Pretty recent tie rods, tie rod end, bottom ball joints and power steering fluid change.

G60 brakes w/grooved disks and ebc greenstuff pads.

Engine

Swapped out the tired 150k 2.0 8v for a solid 112k VR6, currently pushing around 121k, no problems since doing the swap. In fact its running brilliantly, just had a service, air and oil filter, new sump gasket too. Had a new crack pipe and thermostat+housing recently.

Spec is late OBD1 2.8 with coilpack. Its got a 2.9 inlet and throttlebody, modded airbox, stainless 6 branch, autotech 262 cams, AMD chipped ecu, decat pipe and sebring backbox.

Solid front engine mount, all engine mounts have a hockey puck on top for extra sump clearance, it doesn't touch the floor at all now.

Oil has been changed regularly since the engine was swapped with a new filter each time.

Sump has a plate welded for strengthening prior to the engine being raised. At the height it is at you do need to be very careful though regarding pot holes and speedbumps are best left alone.

Coilpack, plugs and leads were changed when the swap was carried out, then plugs and leads again recently for some leads that you don't need a special tool to remove!! (This is a godsend as a VR owner!)

I've had a couple of VRs before and this runs the sweetest, always starts first time and is quiet and smoke free on startup. It sounds incredible too!

Starter motor is a little sticky and makes a bit of a noise when you start it, but has no detrimental effects whatsoever.

Not bad on fuel on a run, I averaged 32mpg on the way to BugJam. Likes to sit around 22mpg around town with the odd poke at the throttle.

Wheels

16x8.5 and 16x9 Schmidt Modern Lines, freshly rebuilt with colour coded centres, stainless lips and bolts. Brand new 215/35/16 Falken tyres with stacks of tread left. Gorgeous wheels, can't imagine this car on anything else!

Interior

Has black colour concept leather interior with the correct 5 door door cards. They are heated, but I don't have the seat relays. Loom and 2x switches come with though.

Swapped blue trim for black to match, so dash, carpets etc are spot on.

Rip in passenger seat on base. Small wear on driver's bolster.

I trimmed the headlining in zebra print fabric and all the pillars/parcel shelf are done in black faux suede.

Boot floor and walls are fully sound deadened, as are the doors and under rear seats. Small amount of under floor deadening has been done too. The boot has a false floor in which I was going to do something with, but never got round to.

All electrics are now working, after having replaced the sunroof, front passenger window mech and mirror. Fully working VR6 clocks and MAF are there. Has remote central locking on a flip key with auto closure that shuts windows and sunroof.

Has MOMO Team 280, alpine head unit, can come with some generic sub in box already plumbed in if you want.

I've been as honest as possible in the description, this car is reliable as anything and goes well, got a 15.5 second 1/4 mile @ 91mph at the pod, before ANY of the engine mods. Which is great considering if anything, weight has been added to this car over stock what with the sound deadening and leathers. Will do some big speeds on the motorway! I've probably missed a thing or two out but i'm sure that's pretty much it!

So for some pictures. Will get some interior shots asap, and can get more on demand, I'd advise viewing the car too though! Although if you aren't insured, I'll be driving... Anyway:
