now i know that not everyone will agree with 'illegally' downloading music,

but i justify it by the fact that i do still spend alot of money on cd's and also i purchase alot of music from trackitdown.net!

just sometimes ime abit too skint and really want a certain track or albumn :)

as some will know, recently piratebay.org has been blocked by most isp's and demonoid has also shut down which has left me at a dead end as i know you could just abut trust these websites...

a friend suggested isohunt.com which is ok, just they dont have much choice and alot of the torrents look pretty sketchy!

i was just wondering what other people are using now, as i know alot of other people will download music, whether you approve of it or not! :)

On the rare occasion that I actually want new music I just use iTunes, I happily pay for the convenience of not having to find a torrent site, then find a torrent and whatever else you have to do.

exactly the reason why i like to buy cd's, because you actualy have something for your money! none of this itunes rubbish :)

Better sound quality from CDs, the music I listen to is not exactly brand new so if they're in a CD shop it's gonna be cheap, My car hasn't got MP3 connections....

So for me, without going into legal terms, buying CDs is the option!

For everyone who likes a particular single/album to buy a CD for themselves is madness. Such a large amount of plastics manufacturing, it's a waste. So i like downloading - just your library of hard copies are now the size of a postage stamp but it's still a hard copy. No different to a box of tapes or CDs. Only smaller.

But back to my first point, it's still a waste for everyone to buy a copy. Sharing made so much sense before, and.. well it still does. Especially when transferring music is so easy - you're in my car/house, connect your keyring/phone to my stereo and i'll put your tunes on, it records all your shit and i do the same vice versa.

This is more fun, makes economic sense to the consumer, environmental sense, and is far more sociable. And with a fairness element. But it's also illegal. Why? The music industry moan about copyright even on this non-profit level because they still loose sales - well hey, don't they all look so skint!

Stuff them. It doesn't cost much to write music, pay someone to sing/create it, and make it available on a site for infinite download. You're still gonna make millions, so put it on a reputable site, i'll pay you an honest price for it, and i'll share it with my friends/family.

And if you don't like it, and stop me, i'll still get hold of it and not pay you jack.
