I've a full conversion basically finished. That's an AFH into my mk2 golf.

Its on standard Marrelli injection.

My problem is I cant seem to get the ecu to acknowledge the key.

Its the immo ring fussy as to the position of the key?

Should the key be placed in an ignition barrel? i didn't think the immo rings would be so fussy that the inductance of the barrel would be required?

Help please, its the last leg of the race!

You need the full set: Key, (or at least the chip from it) Immobiliser and ECU.

Dave i had this problem, when i put the AFh in the Skolo

the transponder ring needs to be on an ignition barrel for everything to line up with the key, mine wouldnt start unless the key was on the ignition barrel.
