Who's an admin on the site?

Just bought a car from someone on here and they have a build thread, there is a lot of detail in it and I want to carry it on, I commented on it saying I wished to do this, just come to upload some pictures and it's been locked???

Don't get why nor do I see the need imo. If someone could unblock it so I could carry it on from the previous owner would be much appreciated.

Why not start a new build thread and put a link in it to the original build thread so people interested can read the back story of it?

Can't see the point in carrying on someone's else's build thread as you won't have any way of editing the original post oe the topic titles. Build threads tend to get locked once the car has been sold on

Didn't intend on editing any of the stuff in it. Was merely carrying it on which I still want to do.

The reason I wanted to carry it on was because all of the stuff that had been done is all in there, meaning I wouldn't have to write/copy it all into a new thread. Seems a bit pointless when there is already one with everything in it.

I closed it because the lad who startted it asked me to.

Feel free to start a new thread though. I'll add a link on his thread to it. Just put a link back on your thread to it if you want to show people where it came from.

just put a link in your build thread to the original one, means you wouldn't have to write/copy any of it out

You've already said you plan on making it your own with new wheels ect so makes sense to have your own build thread

As Yeti said the original owner wanted the thread locked.
