Hi guys

I've got a idea in my head that involves banding some alloys, I know it can be done but does Any one know any where that will do it? In northamptonshire preferably

eBay it, banded steels. Few company's on there

He wants alloys, not steels

Out of all the companies my dad has known none of them have don it and when I asked the wheel refurbishment team and picked up my polished p slots they just laughed.

In short terms it's going to be hard to find some where.

I found one place that did do it called Big Jim racing, apprently they are no longer open so that was a dead end.

It appears its not really being done in the UK bar a few company's that done it, seems popular in the usa and its being done in germany.

I'll keep looking lol

Probably going to have to look abroad realistically the cost of actually doing it and shipping may as well buy a set of bbs :p Be nice to see the result though.

would it not be less of a job to have your alloys made into 2 piece split rims?

^^ Seen a few wheels done like that, don't the rims fitted have to be bigger than the originals?

depends on the construction of the wheel you start with, some do, others don't. The wheel also has to have enough material on the edges you machine off, to be able to bolt the wider lip to. It is also worth noting that depending on how the wheel is done, you may need to use inner tubes (which are no longer road legal in the uk)
