Featured Replies

Hello lads and ladettes :)

i am all new to this so bare with me :L

here is just some basic info on the car etc

Model: Vw Polo 9n3 GTi

Engine: 1.8 20v T

Suspension: Coilovers

Brakes: Standard at the mo ;)

Wheels and Tyres: Standard monzas at this moment in time

Exterior Styling: Lowered - debadged - xenon lights - smoothed front bumper - splitter - honeycomb grills

Interior Styling: Nothing :(

ICE and Security: Have no clue

Comments: this is just to show all the fellow vw lovers my car and hopefully get some advice and tips to help her along :) il go step by step from day 1 till now :)

Brought the car in january 2012 for £4800 - 60,000 miles on it - reason it was so cheap was because the owner couldnt afford to run it and had it sat on her drive for nearly a year and couldnt sell it also she was told a cv joint had gone and a tyre was bold so she couldnt afford that. When i brought the car i took it to a garage and had it looked at it and the garage said it was immaculate inside and out still runs smooth - the knocking noise which the car had was no infact the cv joint but the lower arm bust so £20 later no more knocking :).

here she is on the first time having it :)

Next was just some engine bits and bobs, thinking about changing the red to purple tho as i want purple wheels at the momento haha -

next was smoothing which was only done 2-3 weeks ago - i had to get it done before the wheels because some little C*#! decided to fall of his bike and scratch my car so decided to put this first as the scratch was bugging me

Bloody nice car, I think the stock wheels look awesome on it - No need to change I reckon. Fixed the images for you because I was bored. When you are viewing your pictures in photobucket look for the bit that sayd code on the right hand side, click on the text next to that and put that in your post.

adapters for them will cost like £150 for 2 so your talking like £300 for a set, doesn't look good, don't know what your opinion of getting alloys re drilled is but theres always that? but don't know the cost in that! Just thought i'd try and help, sure you probably already know this though hahaaa. Just thought id add that the gti looks smart man! like the smoothness of it too!

Then i recently got my forge intercooler and my milltek Non res turbo back exhaust ( Forgot to take pictures of exhust fitting)

Then i fitted my boost guage :) i thought i would be a little different with this instead of putting it in the airvent, i have got a oil pressure 1 to put in aswel but haven't had time to do it.

I then got it Revo stage 2 mapped dont know what bhp its running as i need to get it rolling road.

MOT and a service due this month so cant really do alot to it at the mo, got some bonnet struts for it so need to fit them going to change cam belt and water pump - going to change all fluid - oil, gearbox oil, break fluid, water etc etc

Recently fitted the pd160 and a panel filter - looking at doing cone in a box idea? if anyone has info on this it would be good :)

Looking at the audi tt brake conversion next.

Thought about hybrid turbo but i think I'm going to leave it how it is as i will be looking at saleing it after the summer if all goes to plan to fund my new car but everything is ready fot it

Looks nice mate!

This looks good, do the intercooler pipes fit well behind the grille? Do you happen to have a list of pipe sizes please. Did the milltek and intercooler make much differnce before remap? Any advice on coolers map sensor? Sorry for bombarding you with questions :-)

Really liking this so far!

That smoothed front bumper looks class too.

Such a shame as I recently noticed this on the bay, having the smooth bumper really looks good.

I'm thinking about getting one of these, I never really liked them as I've been a fan of the 6n but since seeing a few in Candy White with subtle mods I'm starting to fall in love with them
