The blue one is bright solid medium blue, like Jazz Blue. And it's Photographed side-on, hedge runs along the background right behind it (well, technically next to it, you get the idea). The front end is at the right of the pic, rear at the left. It looks more standard than the silver one. A few of us remember it, but i can't find the bastard.

There was only hatch (aka breadvan/estate), saloon and coupe from factory - all others are customs.

I think I have pics of the blue one at home. It looked huge!

Looks very much like it has the backend of a mk3 golf estate attached to the back of it. In a good way though

Yep, that's the one i was thinking of, again i haven't seen those photos. Kinda prefer the silver one now, or at least the simplicity of it..

Both done quite differently, the silver one is MK2 Coupe corner panelwork and lights, with breadvan upper/frame and tailgate. Whereas the blue one is all breadvan at the rear, nothing coupe (albeit MK2F).

Lengths reflect both having saloon rear secondary floor panels, and with the round rear arches i expect both cars are saloon based.

I don't have the skill to do it myself, but i'd like to see a coupe version - i think the raked tailgate and thicker c-pillar would really suit it.

Yeah I agree a coupe back end would be better which is pretty much what the fox wagen back end is like. It would also be kinda like the type 44 audi 100s and I always liked them

Silver one looks far better, the styling of the blue one isn't really my cup of tea.
