quite a few do because they are have shite poorly designed/manufactured engines and make matters worse they are usually thrashed about by young drivers.

the only good engines to be fitted to the corsa c are the 1.8 or the diesels.

I'm assuming you mean the engine sound, I know the 1.0 one does because its only 3 cylinder but not sure why the 1.2 does as I'm sure they are 4 cylinder..

yeah they are 4 cylinder, just crap engines.

i recently stripped one down and found the hydraulic tappets worn into the head, the crank had 2-3 mm of play side to side (big ends were ok) and the cam chain and sprockets were severely worn.

the engine had only done 75000 miles and had a full service history.

most 1.2/1.4 corsas i know have a rattle,some worse than others.

other than the engines as a car they aren't that bad quite well built and easy to work on.

Yep, most likely spent its life bouncing off the redline with little or no servicing, think these engines also suffer from oil sludge due to poor design.

The old dears that come into the car park at work normally have them revving to fuck while attempting to park and at idle they tap louder than a 1980s diesel.

I have had a 1.2 corsa d as a courtesy car a short while back and they need thrashing to get anywhere, hence most sounding like shite.
