He'd do better with a pressurised container for the media. Our old sandblaster used a calor gas bottle to reasonable success until we got bored and made a wood burner out of it.

Like it,

Iv got an air line attachment which is basically like a spray gun, but you put sand/grit/soda in it.

Similar to ones where you can put a cleaning chemical in and blast it at stuff, got one of them too.

Just a pickup pipe over a reservoir of whatever you want to spray out.

Good idea though that, cant get much simpler!

you could just use one of these guns with it tbh http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-4in-Bsp-Air-Sa...=item20c5353c0b

i looked into this a while ago just haven't got round to or needed it yet but i will soon and using the baking soda is a great idea as it will be cheaper and safer than the sand which is great

Think i might make myself a cabinet in the lock up and build one of these, could just sandblast the whole car then

mines like that, but where the pickup pipe attaches theres a reservoir on the gun :)

I'm sure that one could be modified for a reservoir or can you find a link to the one you have harris or a cheap version of it i dont know what to search for as you wouldnt want a fine painting nozzle you would need a 2mm one like the gun above

and max I'm going to make a little cabinet for mine too just see if you can get a cheap metal storage cabinet off the bay and use that on its back

Now the engines stripped to bare block, there's a few parts that need cleaning and its payday Tomoz aha cheers gonna make one Tomoz and ill post some pics up

Sweet... :)

I gave this a go with some brake cleaner and it worked OK...

Was only drawing the cleaner up the tube intermittently so I was getting a sudden blast of it every few seconds. Didn't really do much but I'd imagine with a big tub of grit or soda that's fit for purpose it will work well!
