Just browsing wheels and tings, and was wondering about wobble bolts. I know these are used to alther PCD etc. but how specific are they? e.g. people use them to fit 4x98 (alfa) wheels to 4x100 VW hubs. Can these same ones be used to fit 4" (101.6) wheels to 4x100 hubs? Can I use bolts designed to fit 4x100 wheels to 4x98 hubs to do the reverse? Can't see how they can be 'universal' but I can't find any specifically for 4x101.6 (but apparently they exist)

On further reading, (the FAQ!) it would seem that mini, which a lot of people fit to their polo, are 101.6 (I thought they were 4x98) so they are obviously available. Still unsure of how they can be used to for 4x98 and 4x4" though. I'm assuming spigot rings are essential?

Yes mate, just the tapered/radius'd part is a floating type 'washer' so it can move any direction, the bolt heads clamping force clamps this to the correct taper/radius in the wheel centrally.. mini are 4x4'' I think :)
