those wheels are beaut. Sets the car off nice.

How does it drive on the coilovers at that ride height mate?

Looks like a clean base, nice work :)

This looks so smart. I'm envious.

Thanks for all the nice replies :p and at that height it's a bit stiff and bumpy but not super bad.

Mirrors are all sprayed now need a polish when they've cured

I remember seeing this at GTI fest, so clean!

You've done a good job with the mods  and the wheels suit it really nice

Cheers everyone feels nice after 2-3 years of it being standard! Just waiting on spacers now so can take it for a drive before the polo show!

  • Author

Well put the spacers on the front today! didn't think the car was lower much but got the jack out and it didnt fit under :tear: so we had to use the crappy jack in the car then use the proper one to make sure it didn't fall of. Any way got them on and it doesn't catch the brakes!! but the rears are catching on the subframe i think so more spacers on order any way here's the pictures.

Wheels hiding in the arches

arches nicely filled out 3mm actually makes a fair bit of difference! Didn't really do it for the wheels to poke out more so they didn't smash the brakes up or vise versa

By the way reflections not stone chips.

I love this! so clean and simple! the exact look I have but different wheels and my bodywork is shit lol

Was going for the simple look, don't really like cars with too much going on! We're now contemplating camping at the polo show if we do we should be there saturday :D

Just going to try and do them myself. Just need to source some wheels to borrow whilst I do it, don't want to roll on one space saver while the paint cures.

Fair enough, luckily mines not a daily at the moment so can go with out wheels for a few days :p

In Spain at the moment had some ideas for the interior. It'll either look really good or be a waste of money and time but worth the risk ha

  • 3 weeks later...

Spoke to you yesterday fella and looked really good, them wheels are ace they set the car off so much. This is everything I would want my 6n to be for the roads.

Well done, Ryan.

Really finding it hard on what to do next one of these options:

* Respray roof, original colour.

* New interior/add something to the existing one

* Clean the engine bay and tidy it up! Spray cover gloss black, porsche cap for coolant bottle, spray faded/heavily oxidized stuff black and general cleaning.

* Something in the boot. Small hertz sub built into the side and new carpet.

* Sort boot lock out, needs repainting.

* Repaint the door handle surrounds as they look tatty.

More of a list so I know what to do as I look at it and just think it all needs repainting/changing!

Saw this at VWNW Tatton, my missus has the same colour and now she has the modding bug :-D

(we kept coming back to take more and more photos! LOL)
