Wanted to add a switch to the front of the car which i can press to open the boot lid. Saw this on ebay and thought it would be perfect and fit right in next to the other heated seat button.

Just purchased this universal electric window upgrade kit for my polo, really can't wait to have electric windows, instead of spinning the handle around. Will post up pictures of how it goes...

^Weird timing. I'm watching the Mighty Car Mods episode about installing electric windows right now.

yeah i saw the episode and had to try it out, haven't seen anyone else on here try it yet..

Suppriesd you didn't go with the OEM route of just getting a window regulartor etc and plugging it all in. I wanna see the outcome of this, should be quicker than standard windows tho...

heres the passenger window button, i tried to place it with the shape of the doorcard, may end up changing the door cards to GTI one day.

Its worth a go alittle bit slow, but easier than winding your window up. I connected the earth and positive under the steering wheel, so the buttons only work when the key is in the ignition.

Good effort but it does look massively out of place. Would it not have been wiser to retro fit the OEM electric windows?

cleaned my car when the sun was out and took a couple photos. Need to sort out the ride height, every wheel is a different height!

And also thinking new wheels, want to go to euro look, what do you think?

MCM did a video on these and it looked pretty simple, so thought it was cheaper and easier than going down the retro fit route. Works nearly as well too.
