Spark Plug

Featured Replies

Can anyone let me know what the correct spark plug gap should be on a 1.0 '99 polo?

Also I need to buy new spark plugs, new leads and a new battery, any recommendations on what and where to purchase?

Thanks in advance

I think there is a battery promotion too at the moment. Look at the Bosch range ;)

Just pop your registration plate and then pick what parts you need. They deliver too.

The only figure i can find for the 1.0 engine is 1mm

They maybe pregapped but the slightest knock can ruin that - I always check.

Iv only ever seen 1.0mm polo wise though

Engine code Sparkplug make/gap

AER/ALL NGK BUR6ET 0.7mm, BOSCH W7LTCR 0.9mm

ALD/AUC NGK PZFRS-11 1.0~1.1mm, BOSCH W7LTCR 1.0mm, CHAMPION RN8VTYC4 1.0mm

most of the time they have been knocked about in the box too.

I've always got to re-gap mine from new.

every month or so I take the plugs out and check the gaps to allow for wear of the plugs.
