hi all I've look and fiddled with loads of dails/switches on the car but how on earth do i change the time

Clock: Set to correct time

Carry out adjustment as follows:

Setting hours:

– Turn setting knob -1- (on lower left next to speedometer) anti-clockwise.

By turning the setting knob shortly, the clock will be altered by one hour. By turning and holding the setting knob the alteration will be continuous.

Setting minutes:

– Turn setting knob -1- clockwise.

By turning the setting knob shortly, the clock will be altered by one minute. By turning and holding the setting knob the alteration will be continuous.

With the setting knob -1- the clock can be set exactly to the second as follows:

– Turn setting knob to right until the time is one minute before time to be set.

– Turn adjustment knob to the right at the moment when the seconds indicator of accurate clock shows a full minute

I'm assuming you got this from a service manual online? do you have a link as i think itll come in handy and rather than my clogging up the forum :)

Not from an online manual, it's from a program called ElsaWin, basically a copy of the dealers manuals, avail on ebay for around £20~30 it covers all VAG models from 1995 onwards

cheers Nige - i used to use Servicebox for my old peugeot - simply log in to the website saying your a company based outside the EU and it was free, will look into that later
