So, as some of you may know, I bought Iscariot's GT - silly cheap too!

At first, I wasn't convinced and hated it, just wasn't the same as my old Alpine White CL.. I've slowly come round to love her now mind, this GT is a totally different car.

Anyways, all I've done is add a passenger mirror, the mirror blank was a tad gay. New plates front and back, since the old one said 'MARIES POLO G.T' on the bottom. Couple interior plastics that was missing and thats it.

She does have her issues but they'll be sorted eventually. Royal mail loosing the locking wheel nut key and work commitments is holding everything up at the minute.

I'll just leave this here for now and add some more snaps later.

It does feel good to be back in a MK3!

Although we do have our 'moments' every now and then..

Anywhooo.. Here's a few photos from last Saturday when I gave her a run down to Clumber park. I will admit, she's not a daily. Just a bit of a toy at the minute. That way I enjoy it, and appreciate it more - ring its neck majority of the time too!

(I am aware my camera had a smudge on it - the one's on my phone came out better)

Oh and, the mates complained about no stereo almost immediately - c'mon its a driver's car, not a comfy commuter.

So that was the excuse to get something I've always wanted, a 1980's Ghetto Blaster! Excuse the instagram photo but this currently knocks about on the back seat pumping the tunes out when I've got passengers. (headphones in if not)

The white one was much more refined. This one feels fragile somedays. Thats only way I can describe it.

Only way I enjoy this one is to be balls out, flat out.

What suspension aare/were they on?

The exact same, except the CL was running chopped 60 kit with no bumpstops, hitting the steering arms and the GT is just a 80 kit. Both poop PhilJ.

Good to see she's being looked after properly (abused)

Will be reet once those niggles with the passenger upright are sorted!

original plates aha, parent of the girl owned it on my mums estate since i could remember. used to be all smoothed out until i got it a few years ago.

i was at the pub once, and she came up to me and introduced herself because she recognized the car from her plate, it was proper weird.

I remembered following your thread, from start to end.

She's still going, with occasional use.

Moved out last week and she did the several trips full of furniture etc.. as well as the above photo from Ikea!

Proper hankering for a PH2 172/182 now though..

Found out she's letting in water from somewhere.. No idea where though.

Anyways, still loving this, she has so much character, and mood swings so it seems.

New plan, she's staying till at least June! Gonna hit Run to the Sun this year as a missed last year.

Be abit of a send off should I choose to sell up in the Summer.

Things to sort:

Get the locking wheel nuts off!

New top mounts.

New discs and pads up front.

Possibly replace couple of sensors to try to up the MPG.

Sort out the annoying squeek in the back.

Possibly replace ARB bushes and track rods.

Instagram and iPhone picture dump.

I will get the proper camera out one day..

Squeak coming from the rear... Possibly a loose spare wheel? The tyre might be rubbing against the spare wheel well.
