Track rod ends the right thread?

yea bud all proper parts and screw on properly and lock nuts tighten upto them . honeslty tried everything thats daft like that it will be something small that just not noticed changeing top mounths today if it solves it

Do you have to adjust it the same every time?

So does it say add 2mm toe one side every time and you move it more and more. So you're eventually going to run out of adjustment or what?

well yday we put the tracking shit on . and it was out by 3 mm . we did not adjust anything and i drove down road and back and then we put the gear back on and it was out 2 mm more .. now I'm unsure if its going back and forward with in that 5 mm range or its slowley comeing out but i use car daily so if was comeing out 2 mm after half mine it would of come out by now if you get me .. so i think its something allowing it to move over all of 5 mm .. we can adjust them to where meant to be and then go back to 3 mm out then 2 more when move again .. hard to explain tbh mate but wont run out of thread if thats what you mean .. least i hope not lol

I had this with my mk 2. Took the bottom arms back told them they were shite and poor quality, got the replaced... problem solved.

hi guys i have since today replaced the top mounts and if anything its worse .. also i have fitted them in this order as where .. top of coil over sleeve . then bearing then rubber then a flat nut . then put through suspension turret with a metal plate thats dished with a nilock nut ? firstly is that correct . and secondly if so why is there around 5 mm gap on the top plate then is that not meant to be flush ? if so how i solve the problem and so on ... also i have never thought about ball joints been diff size if I'm honest as just thought all was for same one all thought as the guy states they are different for 14 inch and 13 inch wheels ... it is due back in to garage at 8 in morn to be re tracked but if I'm honest i am sick of taking it to get no where .. getting point now where looking for new car and will use mine for parts other then the front end lol .. so could some one confirm i have done the order right and if its wrong help me out please as when i took the top caps off they where worn a lot on the metal side and rubber meaning they must of been moving ? thanks for all help

The ball joints are'nt different sizes you just fit them different ways around for 13" or 14"

Ball joint, left

-L- = left

-3- = 13'

Arrow with marking "L3" points forwards

Ball joint, right

Arrow with marking "R3" points forwards

-R- = right

-3- = 13'

Pay particular attention to installation position of ball joint!

Incorrect installation position will change the caster angle

Ball joint, left

-L- = left

-4- = 14'

Arrow with marking "L4" points forwards

The arrow on the illustration symbolises forwards

Ball joint, right

Arrow with marking "R4" points forwards

The arrow on the illustration symbolises forwards

-R- = right

-4- = 14'

Pay particular attention to installation position of ball joint!

but this would not couse my tracking to alter its self would it ? sorry if been bit dumb just want to try work out whats what that's all .. like say i can get tracking done yet move a mile and its out 3 mm ? so this could be to do with this ball joint been wrong way on or something as such ?

^^

It should'nt cause the tracking to go out

heads done me thinks new car in order and strip mine for the bits for w.e i buy . and leave all the bottom arms and balls like that on the thing and scrap it .. lol

You're totally over reacting.

Why strip a car because you changed something and gained an issue.

Logic would say the changed part is at fault providing everything is as it was.

Some after market parts are shit. No matter how much they charge or how good people say they are.
