Hi all. Been waiting to Do this a while. I picked up this mess of a bready about 2 weeks back. Needs a good ol tidy up. Engine is said to be a polo Gt but I'm doubtful although its defo a 1.3 on a 1L box. Few dents needed a new rad and some good old tlc as itd been previously ratted so the bonnet is POOOOOO. The wheels had white crap all over them. And theres a double barrel exhaust/houseforarabbit. Other then all that I've had great fun getting to know Vanessa the Vdub.

Vinyl bonnet wrap (your opinion means nothing to me ) and a replacement carb as this ones a pooburg. :)

You're right though, that's not a GT engine, GT engines are multi point injection, and they don't have a hole in the head for a mechanical fuel pump like yours does.

Could still be a GT bottom end, the only way to find out is look at the code on top of the block, left hand front.

I used to run a GT bottom end with MH head etc, on a DMTL. But yeah, it doesn't make it a GT engine, just a mongrel.
