give it a jetwash,

play with the ignition points and put some fresh fuel in. itl probs fire!

How much for the whole thing? I think i could get that running. Would be a shame to break it.

the red one behind it is my daily and i have no plans to restore this one to its former glory! it should be rotten across the bottom 6inches but its sooo clean!

Hi there,

I would like to request that you try and sell that barn find breadvan before removing any parts. It is a rare colour and being such an early model* it is made of higher grade steel meaning that, as you can see, it is largly rust free. It would have also been built in Germany which too is uncommon. I feel that the car is too solid to strip for parts and would make for a great project for someone. Malaga red would do wonders with it so seriously send him a PM.

*by early model I mean it's seriously early. It was first registered on August 4th, 1982 which would make it one of the very first MK2 Polos sold in Europe.

To let you know, this doesn't have an ignition amp and the distributer has a different drive to the later, electronic ones (also its a points dizzy). The ignition loom will therefore be no good for a bike carb conversion (which I'm guessing is what you're doing)

i doubt the farmer who i bought it off travelled to ascot to buy this as a non runner just as a cheap car for his daughter to learn in?

malaga ron's been over today for a look and we found a few issues.

part of the battery tray wants cutting/welding due to rot

floorpan where it meets inner bulkhead panel close to lower a pillar,has had a crap repair before and i suspect it never had the rot cut out and was just plated over

thats about it my luverlies!
